Soviet Red Army Mess Tin
Made in the USSR, these iconic Red Army mess tins are in pristine condition. Unissued stock, current batch produced in 1979. Can be used to heat up water, retort pouches, make soup, tea or fry food.
The mess tins have never issued and have been stored in a Russian Army stockpile since the time when Brezhnev was the First Secretary of the USSR. Some sign of long term storage may be visible but near enough pristine condition overall.
Please note - all mess tin will be covered in storage grease, as intended for long term storage, especially the inner non-galvanised metal parts. Please ensure all grease is thoroughly removed and the mess tin washed before using the mess tin to handle food.
